Terms of work

Last updated 2 October 2026. These terms apply to every Mavilo project unless your written quote says otherwise.

Who we are

Mavilo is a creative studio for 3D visualisation and rendering in Adelaide, South Australia. MAVILO is a registered business name, ABN 17 685 711 018. Contact: daniel@mavilostudio.com.

Concept only

Our work is concept design and visualisation. It is a starting point for your builder or building designer. It is not construction drawings, engineering, a cost estimate or an approval document, and it isn’t a guarantee that a design will be approved. Mavilo is a creative studio for 3D visualisation and rendering. We are not architects.

What’s included

• Concept layout: $490 incl. GST. A floor layout of your idea, with room sizes. A PDF for your designer or builder.
• Concept in 3D: $690 incl. GST. Three realistic images: two outside, one inside. The light you choose: day, golden hour or dusk.
• Full concept (layout + 3D): $990 incl. GST. Both of the above.
• Trade renders: from $490 + GST a view, as set out in your written quote.

Package prices cover one home up to about 200 m² on one level. Larger or two-storey homes, extra buildings and anything outside the package get a tailored quote before you pay. Nothing is payable until your exact price is confirmed in writing.

Your design checklist

After you pay, we send your brief back as a short design checklist for you to confirm. Your concept is designed to the checklist you confirm. If the finished concept misses anything on it, tell us within 7 days and we fix it free. The fix doesn’t use your round of changes. If it still misses after two attempts, we refund your commencement payment in full.

Changes

Homeowner packages include one round of changes. A round is the set of changes you send us in one go. Extra rounds are $79 incl. GST each, paid before we start the round and refunded if you cancel before we start it. Trade jobs include two revision rounds; extra rounds are priced in your quote. A new idea after your checklist is confirmed, like another bedroom, gets its own quote before we do it.

Payment

Payment is 50% to start (the commencement payment) and the balance before we release your final files. The brief links to these terms, and paying the commencement payment means you agree to them. Trade clients get a written quote and an invoice for each half; accepting the quote or paying the invoice means you agree to these terms.

Refunds

• Work starts as soon as you pay. We begin modelling straight away and email you to confirm. The commencement payment covers that first stage and the production time we set aside for you.
• If you change your mind after paying, the commencement payment isn’t refunded, because the work it covers has already begun. You don’t owe the balance, and we don’t release any files.
• If we can’t take your project on, or can’t deliver for reasons on our side before your first concept, you get a full refund. After your first concept, we refund what you’ve paid minus a fair price for the work already delivered.
• A change of mind or taste isn’t a reason for a refund once the concept matches your confirmed checklist.
• Refunds go back to the card or account you paid with, within 5 business days of us confirming them. If something’s wrong, please email us first so we can fix it.

Your consumer rights

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled: to cancel your service contract with us; and to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value. You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. If the failure does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have problems with the service rectified in a reasonable time and, if this is not done, to cancel your contract and obtain a refund for the unused portion of the contract.

Nothing in these terms limits those rights. The change-of-mind rule above doesn’t apply when you cancel because of a problem on our side. If anything here conflicts with your rights, your rights come first.

Timing

We give you a target date with your price. Dates are aims, not guarantees, and they depend on getting your answers and files on time. If we’re going to be late, we tell you why and give you a new date.

Your design and our images

Once you’ve paid in full, you can use your concept and its files for your project, including giving them to your builder or building designer. We never show, sell or reuse your design without your written OK. Our working files and methods stay ours.
